PRE APPOINTMENT

Here are a few things you can do to prepare for your upcoming appointment;

Please refrain from all activities that may cause irritation of the skin or thinning of the blood prior to your appointment:

  • Refrain from alcohol consumption 24 hours before receiving Microblading

  • Refrain from suntanning, microdermabrasion, dermaplanning, laser treatment, and chemical peels 7-10 days before receiving Microblading.

  • Refrain from all medications that cause thinning of the blood including but not limited to: Aspirin, Advil, Aleve, Niacin, Fish Oil, Vitamin E, and Ibuprofen. Please consult your physician before stopping any medication.

  • Refrain from consuming coffee and energy drink the day of your appointment.

  • If you are to receive any waxing or hair removal in the treated area, please allow a minimum of 2-3 days between your appointments for the skin to heal.

You must be off any and all Retin-A or Retinol products for a minimum of 7 days prior to your appointment and 30 days post appointment. These products can cause premature and extreme color loss. If you decide to continue your Retin-A or Retinol use do not apply on the treated area and please keep in mind that Elle Munster Beauty is not responsible for the loss of color in your cosmetic tattoo.

If you are experiencing any blemishes, acne, cold sores, any other skin irritations, or have a mole in or around the area of procedure please contact Elle immediately via e-mail for a consultation. It is up to the discretion of the artist to decide whether or not they have a workable surface. Failure to communicate any of these may result in a cancellation or rescheduling of your appointment. All deposits are nonrefundable.

If you receive Botox, please ensure you leave 2-3 weeks in between session to ensure it doesn't effect the overall symmetry of your new cosmetic tattoo.

We refrain from working on individuals on Accutane and require our clients to be off the medication for a minimum of 1 year before receiving Microblading.

If you have been diagnosed with cancer or any extreme illnesses in the past, we require for you to have been in remission for a minimum of 1 year and have a signed note by a licensed physician in order to receive Microblading. The safety of our clients is our first priority.

CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW TATTOO!

Now enjoy the two big C’s;
the Confidence & the Convenience of your new brows
— Elle Munster

Seriously, the best results are with this simple healing method and it makes it easier for everyone!

  • Immediately following your appointment, have disposable paper towel handy & dab, dab, dab your brows throughout the day if you notice any “sweat / droplets’ forming.

  • The first night, wash the treated area with warm water, a gentle / mild cleanser and pat dry.

  • The following 7-10 days; Wash the tattooed area GENTLY 3-5 times a day (every 4-6 hours) with lukewarm water and pat dry with disposable paper towel, gauze or cotton round.

    1. You may shower or bathe normally, but avoid using any soaps or cleansers on the treated area for the first 7 days (detrimental to the bonding process, the pigment needs to stabilize in the dermis.)

    2. Use a fresh pillowcase when sleeping (on your back).

    3. Wash your hands thoroughly before touching the tattooed area.

10 factors that will NEGATIVELY effect the end results;

  • Soap, Shampoo or Cleanser exposure to unhealed brows in the first 10 days.

  • Exercising and Sweating with unhealed brows in the first week.

  • Exposure to bodies of water with unhealed brows in the first 2 weeks.

  • Bath submersion or over exposure to shower water with unhealed brows in the first 10 days.

  • Picking or scratching which can lead to a loss of pigment or scarring.

  • Placing cosmetic products on unhealed brows in the first 2 weeks.

  • Threading and Waxing unhealed brows in the first 2-4 weeks.

  • Bleach & Dye exposure to unhealed brows in the first 6-8 weeks.

  • Anti Aging products (Retinol’s) + Anti Acne products (Glycolic Acids).

  • Laser treatments on the area.

Be patient & don't freak out!

The tattooed area will appear to be darker & bolder in color and more sharply defined for the first 7 days.

Minimal scabbing/flaking may take place. DO NOT pick or scratch at the dry skin/flakiness; let the skin fall off naturally. Picking can cause scarring & premature loss of pigment.

It will NOT prevent you from working or interfere with socializing.

The treated area may feel like a sunburn afterwards but there should be minimal discomfort. An ice-pack or an antihistamine can relieve any swelling or tenderness.

IMPORTANT: Once the flakes have fallen off, a shiny layer of healing skin will completely cover the hair strokes.

It will appear as though the eyebrows are gone.

Within 1-2 weeks, the hair strokes will slowly reappear at a lighter shade as your skin regenerates.

Be PATIENT, even if you think too much colour has been lost, your skin is still regenerating and naturally exfoliating.

Wait a min. 4 weeks to see the true color, it is only after 6 weeks that your touch-up/adjustment can be done.

Now celebrate by sleeping in a little longer each day

& enjoy your newfound free time!
